On May 12, 2009 ROE will participate in National Denim Day

It's that time of year again. Employees at ROE Logistics are raising money for The Cure Foundation by participating in National Denim Day:
"Wearing jeans has never been so important!"
In May 1997, CURE inaugurated NATIONAL DENIM DAY, its main fundraiser. This event is held on the Tuesday following Mother's Day. Companies' employees across Canada join together in wearing denim and/or a "pink flower ribbon" for a suggested donation of $5 to the CURE Foundation. CURE will provide a Dress for CURE Kit, which will include posters and enrollment materials to ensure easy implementation of this program at no charge.
Please visit The Cure Foundation for more info

ROE teams up with Sun Youth to help the needy
(left to right: Manfred Engst - President & CEO ROE Logistics, Ellie Kalogeris - Customs Import, Nicolas Carpentier - Sun Youth, Melissa Giusto - Customs Import, Avrum Shuster - International Freight Development Manager)
As the holidays approach, so do the preparations, but unfortunately not everyone will have the chance to share a meal with their loved ones. We are among the fortunate ones, therefore, we can extend our arms to help the ones in need. As a group we would like to make a genuine contribution to the ones that need our help the most.
This year, the employees at ROE will be setting up a food drive just in time for the holidays. We will be collecting items for the needy during the weeks leading up to the food drive.
We encourage everyone to give what they can. Every little thing counts and will go towards making someone's holiday season a little brighter.
Among the items that are needed:
Can Foods, Baby Products, Money, or Hygiene Products (Toilet paper, shampoo, soap, etc..)
Sun Youth has also provided us with a list.
Please view the FULL LIST for more ideas.
Any donations as small as it is, will be greatly appreciated.
We would like to thank you in advance for opening up your hearts to those who need it the most at this time of year.
Thank you,
ROE Logistics Inc.

We will be running and swimming in hopes to raise funds that will directly support Sarah's Floor, the Hematology/Oncology Ward at the Children's.The exciting competition takes place annually at the McGill University Sports Complex.
Families, schools, elite teams and companies are invited to enter teams in a variety of run-swim-run relay races. The Family Fun Expo also runs all day, providing activities, games and prizes for participants and spectators of all ages.
This year the funds raised from the Splash & Dash will help to purchase an Intra-Operative MRI to enhance the treatment for children with brain tumors. To help support this initiative, kindly donate on-line and designate your gift to the Splash 'n Dash.

ROE runs for The Cure!

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education, and awareness programs.
This year, 2 of our very energetic employees at ROE ran 5km to support this cause. They also got every employee involved and raised close to 1,000$ to sponsor their run.
Each year, thousands of Canadians of all ages and walks of life unite to participate in the Run. The reasons for participating vary, but we all have the same goal in mind: to create a future without breast cancer.
Join us at next year's Run on Sunday, October 4, 2009.
